Sec. 770.4. Health and safety, including referrals and urgent and emergency care

- A VFCA health facility shall have policies and procedures for the management and care of medical conditions that require health services beyond the limited health-related services set forth in sections 770.1 and 770.2 of this Part, or are of an urgent or emergency health care need. Such policies and procedures shall include but shall not be limited to:(a) twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week on-call coverage to refer a child/youth whose needs exceed services provided by the VFCA health facility, to establish continuity of care; and(b) arrangements with hospitals for health and behavioral health care services for a child/youth whose needs exceed services provided by the VFCA health facility.
