Sec. 517.1. Applicability

(a) With the exception of section 517.10, this Part applies to transfer or other change of accommodation of a patient from a psychiatric hospital to a psychiatric hospital other than Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center (transfer to which is governed by Part 57 of this Title). This Part replaces Part 17 of this Title as it relates to such transfers and changes of accommodation.
(b) Section 517.10 of this Part applies to facilities, agencies or programs, other than psychiatric hospitals, which refer patients for admission to a State-operated psychiatric center. Such facilities, agencies or programs may or may not be certified by the Office of Mental Health.
