Sec. 207.13. Licensing and training standards for professional judges

- (a) Prior to the issuance of a license of a professional boxing or mixed martial arts judge, an applicant therefor shall demonstrate general fitness, trustworthiness, experience and sufficient skill in a manner and form satisfactory to the commission, pass an examination in manner and form approved by the commission, provide proof of satisfactory eye examination in form acceptable to the commission, submit and certify a financial questionnaire to be promulgated by the commission, and shall provide proof of having completed a training program approved by the commission.(b) Judges shall periodically, as may be required by the commission, attend continuing education programs and seminars intended to refresh and enhance the licensee’s skills as a professional judge.(c) The performance of each judge may be reviewed and evaluated periodically by the commission, in its discretion.(d) In addition, annual eye examinations shall be required of all licensed judges in a manner directed by the commission physician.
