- The department shall be notified in advance of the planting, replanting, grafting, budding, rebudding, pruning, removal of plant materials in any planting entered in this program in order that necessary inspections may be made, approval granted before the work is done and the plant materials properly identified, tagged or marked in an approved manner.(a) Nuclear block.Each plant growing in a nuclear block shall be identified in an approved manner indicating the variety of plant, the year indexed and the plant identification number.(b) Foundation nursery block.Plant material growing or originating in a foundation nursery block shall be identified as foundation plants in an approved manner.(c) Foundation block.Plants growing in a foundation block shall be identified in an approved manner indicating the variety of the plants, year of indexing and plant identification numbers.(d) Registered block.Plants, growing or originating in a registered block, shall be identified as registered plants in an approved manner.(e) Certified block.Plants, growing or originating in a certified block, shall be identified as certified plants in an approved manner.
