Sec. 316.12. Marking of equine carcasses and parts thereof

- (a) All inspected and passed equine carcasses and parts thereof prepared at any establishment shall be conspicuously marked at the time of inspection with the official inspection legend as prescribed in section 312.3 of this Article and with other information prescribed for marking product in this Part.(b) All equine carcasses and meat and other parts thereof shall be marked to show the kinds of animals from which they were derived, before the products are sold, transported, offered for sale or transportation or received for transportation or sale.
