Sec. 5201.2. Educational qualifications

- (a) A call-taker/dispatcher shall have obtained a diploma or Regents diploma evidencing completion of a course of study at an accredited high school or secondary school. Alternatively, he or she shall have obtained a General Equivalency Diploma or its equivalent. Provided, any call-taker/dispatcher who commences employment in such capacity prior to January 1, 2004 shall not be required to meet this qualification.(b) An applicant for employment as a call-taker/dispatcher shall show proof of the qualification set forth in subdivision (a) of this section, in a form satisfactory to the hiring authority.
