Sec. 9607.5. Appeal from denial of access to records

- (a) Any person denied access to any record may, within 30 days of such denial, appeal the denial in writing to the vice president and general counsel of the authority at: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, 4th Floor, Long Island City, New York 11101.(b) The time for deciding an appeal shall commence upon receipt of a written appeal identifying:(1) the date of the request for records;(2) the records that were denied; and(3) the name and the return address of the applicant.(c) The vice president and general counsel shall review the matter and affirm, modify or reverse the denial stating in writing to the person making the appeal the reasons for such affirmation or modification making the appeal. Copies of appeals received and ensuing determinations will be immediately forwarded to the Committee on Open Government.
