Sec. 100.88. Downstate Correctional Facility

- (a) There shall be in the department an institution to be known as Downstate Correctional Facility, which shall be located on Red Schoolhouse Road in the Town of Fishkill in Dutchess County, New York.(b) Downstate Correctional Facility shall be a correctional facility for males 18 years of age or older.(c) Downstate Correctional Facility shall be classified as a maximum security correctional facility, to be used for the following functions:(1) general confinement facility;(2) reception center for males who are between 18 and 21 years of age at the time of sentencing;(3) reception center for males 21 years of age or older; and(4) detention center.
