- Incarcerated individuals confined in a special housing unit, residential rehabilitation unit or step-down unit will be provided meals of the same type as the meals available to incarcerated individuals in general population and in sufficient quantity to be nutritionally adequate, except as provided in this section.(a) All food items will be delivered to the incarcerated individuals upon receipt from the food service area, and in a manner that will ensure receipt of the food in an appropriate condition.
