Part 1633. Public Housing Drug Elimination Pilot Program |
Sec. 1633.4. Eligible uses

- An authority may use a grant under this Part for:(a) innovative drug elimination programs to reduce the use of drugs in and around public housing projects;(b) funding assistance to nonprofit public housing resident management corporations and tenant councils to develop security and drug abuse prevention programs involving site residents;(c) physical improvements in public housing projects which are specifically designed to enhance security;(d) training, communication equipment, and other related equipment for use by voluntary public housing tenant patrols acting in cooperation with local law enforcement officials;(e) the employment of security personnel in public housing projects;(f) the reimbursement of local law enforcement agencies for additional security and protective services for public housing projects; and(g) the employment of one or more individuals:(1) to investigate drug-related crime on or about the real property comprising any public housing project; and(2) to provide evidence relating to any such crime in any administrative or judicial proceeding.
