Sec. 6160.4. Prohibitions on funding and activities

- (a) No funds awarded under this act shall be spent to purchase firearms or other deadly weapons. No authorization exists under this act for the possession, carrying, utilization, dissemination or acquisition of firearms or other deadly weapons. These prohibitions apply regardless of any appropriate licenses that may have been issued.(b) No funds awarded under this act may be spent on private guard services, including salaries, fees or expenses incurred for the hiring of or for use by private guards. No funds may be spent to purchase guard dogs or guard dog services.(c) No funds awarded under this act may be spent to pay for the drafting or execution of project proposals.(d) No applicant receiving funds from any other funds of the State will be eligible to receive funds under this act for the same activities. No applicant receiving or eligible to receive funds for support of crime prevention activities under a State-funded “umbrella” program may receive funds under this act.
