    NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF STATE AND FEDERAL FUNDS

    COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT(S), CHARTER SCHOOL(S) AND/OR NON-PUBLIC SCHOOL(S)
    Chapter 53 of the Laws of 2006; 2007 Summer Training for Teachers in Engineers of the Future Programs
    Grant funding in the amount of $5 million is available for grants to colleges and universities in New York State for the costs of providing college or university-based summer training for teachers necessary to implement rigorous pre-engineering curricula in the middle and high school levels.
    The applicant college or university must partner with public school district(s), charter school(s) and or nonpublic schools and serve teachers in schools that are currently or will be implementing a rigorous pre-engineering program at the middle and/or high school level.

    RFA for HIV Prevention Interventions and HIV-Related Supportive Services in Communities of Color
    Applications will be accepted until March 7, 2007 at 5 PM in response to a Request for Applications (RFA) for HIV prevention interventions and HIV-related supportive services in communities of color. Program services and interventions may include:
    Outreach
    Prevention interventions and activities
    Supportive services
    Peer-delivered services
    The total annualized amount available for awards is $2,500,000 in New York State funds. The funding will be allocated statewide. The contract period is five years, with annual renewals, subject to the availability of funds.
    A letter of intent will not be used as part of the application process for this RFA.
