    Merger of United Water New York Incorporated and United Water South County Water Inc.
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
    Action taken:
    The commission, on Dec. 13, 2006, adopted an order approving a joint proposal for a merger between United Water New York Incorporated and United Water South County Water Inc. with United Water New York Incorporated as the surviving corporation.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, sections 4(1), 5(1)(f), 89-c, 89-h and 108
    Subject:
    Merger of United Water New York Incorporated and United Water South County Water Inc.
    Purpose:
    To approve the merger of United Water New York Incorporated and United Water South County Water Inc. with United Water New York Incorporated as the surviving corporation.
    Substance of final rule:
    The Commission adopted an order approving a joint proposal for a merger between United Water New York Incorporated and United Water South County Water Inc. with United Water New York Incorporated as the surviving corporation, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the order.
    Final rule compared with proposed rule:
    No changes.
