Interconnection of the Networks between Verizon and Litecall Inc. for Local Exchange Service and Exchange Access

PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:

Proposed Action:

The PSC is considering whether to approve or reject a proposal filed by Verizon New York (Verizon) for approval of an interconnection agreement with Litecall Inc. executed on August 26, 2008.

Statutory authority:

Public Service Law, section 94(2)

Subject:

Interconnection of the networks between Verizon and Litecall Inc. for local exchange service and exchange access.

Purpose:

To review the terms and conditions of the negotiated agreement between Verizon and Litecall Inc.

Substance of proposed rule:

Verizon New York Inc. (Verizon) and Litecall Inc. have reached a negotiated agreement whereby Verizon and Litecall Inc. will interconnect their networks at mutually agreed upon points of interconnection to provide Telephone Exchange Services and Exchange Access to their respective customers. The agreement establishes obligations, terms and conditions under which the parties will interconnect their network lasting until August 25, 2010.
