    New York Power Authority (NYPA) Expansion and Replacement Power
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Commission is considering a petition and tariff filing by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid for approval of agreement regarding treatment of allocations of New York Power Authority Expansion and Replacement Power.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 66(12)
    Subject:
    New York Power Authority (NYPA) Expansion and Replacement Power.
    Purpose:
    For approval of agreement regarding treatment of allocations of NYPA Expansion and Replacement Power beginning January 1, 2012.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Commission is considering whether to approve, modify or reject, in whole or in part, a filing by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid (National Grid) for approval of a petition and related tariff amendments regarding treatment of allocations of New York Power Authority Expansion Power and Replacement Power. The proposed tariff amendments have an effective date of January 1, 2012. The Commission may adopt in whole or in part, modify or reject National Grid's proposal, and may apply its decision to other utilities.
