    2014 Mohawk River Basin Grants Under the NYS Environmental Protection Fund
    Applications will be accepted through November 21, 2014 for grant funding under the Mohawk River Basin Grant program. Anticipated grant funds from the NYS Environmental Protection Fund (NYS EPF) for State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2013-2014 is approximately $150,000. This is a competitive grant program and projects must implement the goals and targets identified in the 2012-2016 Mohawk River Basin Action Agenda. The Mohawk River Basin Action Agenda can be viewed at www.dec.ny.gov/lands/58571.html. Projects eligible for state assistance must be located within the geographic boundaries of the Mohawk River Basin. State assistance may fund up to 50 percent of the total project cost. The matching share to be provided by the recipient is 50 percent.
    Applications must be completed online and are available on the New York State Grants Gateway at: https://grantsgateway.ny.gov/IntelliGrants_NYSGG/module/nysgg/goportal.aspx.
    All applicants must register in the Gateway to be eligible to apply for any NYS grant opportunity. Not-for-profit applicants must also be “prequalified” in the Grants Gateway system prior to the application deadline to be considered eligible for a grant.
