    Petition for Commercial Electric Meter
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Public Service Commission is considering a petition filed by Itron, Inc. on August 22, 2016, to use the Itron OpenWay Riva Centron Commercial meter with wireless or power line carrier communications in electric metering applications.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 67(1)
    Subject:
    Petition for commercial electric meter.
    Purpose:
    To consider the petition to use the Itron OpenWay Riva commerical meter in electric metering applications.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Public Service Commission is considering a petition filed by Itron Inc., on August 22, 2016, to use the Itron OpenWay Riva Centron Commercial Meter with wireless or power line carrier communications in commercial electric metering applications. The Commission may adopt, reject or modify, in whole or in part, the relief proposed and may resolve related matters.
