PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The PSC is considering whether to approve or reject, in whole or in part, a proposal filed by Newport Telephone Company, Inc. and tw telecom of new york l.p. for approval of a Mutual Traffic Exchange Agreement executed on September 17, 2009.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, section 94(2)
Subject:
Interconnection of the networks between Newport Tele. Co. and tw telecom of ny for local exchange service and exchange access.
Purpose:
To review the terms and conditions of the negotiated agreement between Newport Tele. Co. and tw telecom of ny.
Substance of proposed rule:
Newport Telephone Company, Inc. and tw telecom of new york l.p. have reached a negotiated agreement whereby Newport Telephone Company, Inc. and tw telecom of new york l.p. will interconnect their networks at mutually agreed upon points of interconnection to exchange local traffic.
