PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:

Action taken:

Amendment of sections 193.5 and 193.7 of Title 6 NYCRR.

Statutory authority:

Environmental Conservation Law, sections 3-0301(2)(m), 9-0105(1), 9-1503(1), (2), (3) and (4)

Subject:

American Ginseng in New York.

Purpose:

To require written landowner permission to harvest ginseng, change method to determine maturity of plants, streamline reporting.
