    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Commission is considering whether to approve disapprove, or modify a petition filed by New York American Water Company, Inc. to issue up to approximately $40 million of long-term debt.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 89-f
    Subject:
    Issuance of Securities.
    Purpose:
    To allow or disallow New York American Water Company to issue long-term debt.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Public Service Commission is considering whether to approve, deny or modify, in whole or in part, a petition by New York American Water Company, Inc. f/k/a Long Island Water Corporation seeking authorization to issue up to approximately $40 million of long term debt to refinance existing long-term debt and finance new construction projects. The Commission shall consider all other related matters.
