    Property Tax Refund Associated with the 1992 to 2002 Tax Years, Received from the Town of Hempstead
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
    Action taken:
    On 10/18/12, the PSC adopted an order approving the petition of Verizon New York, Inc. to retain $5.9 million, the intrastate portion, of a $9.7 million property tax refund associated with the 1992 to 2002 tax years, received from the Town of Hempstead.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 113(2)
    Subject:
    Property tax refund associated with the 1992 to 2002 tax years, received from the Town of Hempstead.
    Purpose:
    To approve a property tax refund associated with the 1992 to 2002 tax years, received from the Town of Hempstead.
    Substance of final rule:
    The Commission, on October 18, 2012 adopted an order approving the petition of Verizon New York, Inc. to retain $5.9 million, the intrastate portion, of a $9.7 million property tax refund associated with the 1992 through 2002 tax years, received from the Town of Hempstead, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the order.
