    Certain Aspects of the Residential and Small Non-Residential Retail Energy Markets in New York State
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Commission is assessing certain aspects of the residential and small non-residential retail energy markets and is considering actions regarding the operation of those markets.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 66(1)
    Subject:
    Certain aspects of the residential and small non-residential retail energy markets in New York State.
    Purpose:
    To assess certain aspects of the retail energy markets and to consider actions regarding the operation of those markets.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    On October 19, 2012, the Public Service Commission issued an Order instituting Case 12-M-0476 in which it will assess certain aspects, detailed in the Order, of the residential and small non-residential retail energy markets in New York State. The Commission is considering whether to take actions regarding these aspects of the residential and small non-residential retail energy markets. The Commission may also address related matters.
