ELIGIBLE UNITS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN NEW YORK STATE
Federal Juvenile Accountability Block Grant
The NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit applications from eligible units of local government in New York State for the federal Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG) program. Eligible applicants include units of local government that were not eligible for a direct JABG award in 2007. Subject to the availability of funding, approximately $600,000 is available for award to support youth violence prevention and intervention projects targeting at-risk or delinquent youth 10-15 years old, and/or Persons In Need of Supervision (PINS youth) 10-17 years old within the jurisdiction of Family Court. Awards require a 10% cash match and will be made for a 12-month period.
Proposals submitted on or before 12:00 noon, January 15, 2009 via DCJS’ on-line Grants Management System (GMS) will be accepted.
