    System Average Interruption Frequency Index Service Quality Standard by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
    Action taken:
    The commission, on Nov. 7, 2007, adopted an order doubling the revenue adjustments to $8.8 million for Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid's failure to achieve the system average interruption frequency index (SAIFI) electric reliability measure for 2006.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 66
    Subject:
    National Grid's failure to achieve the SAIFI measure of the Service Quality Assurance Program.
    Purpose:
    To double the penalty for National Grid's failure to achieve the SAIFI electric reliability measure.
    Substance of final rule:
    The Public Service Commission adopted an order doubling the revenue adjustments to $8.8 million for Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid's failure to achieve the System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) electric reliability measure for 2006.
    Final rule compared with proposed rule:
    No changes.
