    Notice of Abandoned Property Received by the State Comptroller
    Pursuant to provisions of the Abandoned Property Law and related laws, the Office of the State Comptroller receives unclaimed monies and other property deemed abandoned. A list of the names and last known addresses of the entitled owners of this abandoned property is maintained by the office in accordance with Section 1401 of the Abandoned Property Law.     NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
    MTA New York City Transit
    Pursuant to the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), MTA New York City Transit hereby gives notice of a public hearing.
    Time and Date: Thursday, February 28, 2008, 6:00 PM
    Place: Tishman Auditorium, The New School, 66 West 12th Street (between 5th and 6th Aves), New York, NY
    Purpose: Public Hearing for DEIS for a Proposed Emergency Ventilation Plant for the 8th Avenue Subway Line between West 4th and 14th Street Stations and the 7th Avenue Subway Line between the Christopher Street and 14th Street Stations. The action involves the following:
    Nine alternative sites were initially identified in the Draft Scoping Document and those remain under consideration. The alternatives considered include ventilation plants constructed off the streetbed on property and in the streetbed. From these, three have been selected for detailed evaluation in the DEIS. Subsequent to the Public Hearing and comment period, one of these three alternatives will be selected for this project, and this selection will be identified in the Final Environmental Impact Statement. The locations currently under consideration are:
    SB1 — located in the streetbed of Greenwich Avenue between Seventh Avenue and Perry Street.
    SB5 — located in the streetbed of Perry street between Greenwich and Seventh Avenue.
    P1 — located within the existing MTA NYCT property at 61 Greenwich Avenue at the intersection of Greenwich Avenue and Seventh Avenue.
    The DEIS comment period ends on Tuesday, March 11, 2008.

    Deferred Compensation Board
    Pursuant to the provisions of 9 NYCRR, Section 9003.2 authorized by Section 5 of the State Finance Law, the New York State Deferred Compensation Board, beginning Monday, February 11, 2008 is soliciting proposals from Financial Organizations to provide no load mutual funds (or load funds in which the fees will be waived) or commingled funds which can be valued daily in one or more of a variety of asset class categories. The fund(s) would represent one or more of the investment options under the Deferred Compensation Plan for Employees of the State of New York and Other Participating Public Jurisdictions, a plan meeting the requirements of Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 5 of the State Finance Law, including all rules and regulations issued pursuant thereto.
