    Interconnection of the Networks between Verizon New York Inc. and MetTel for Local Exchange Service and Exchange Access
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The PSC is considering whether to approve or reject a modification filed by Verizon New York Inc. and Manhattan Telecommunications Corp. d/b/a MetTel, to revise the Interconnection Agreement effective on March 15, 2008.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 94(2)
    Subject:
    Interconnection of the networks between Verizon New York Inc. and MetTel for local exchange service and exchange access.
    Purpose:
    To review the terms and conditions of the negotiated agreement between Verizon New York Inc. and MetTel.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Commission approved an Interconnection Agreement between Verizon New York Inc. and Manhattan Telecommunications Corporation d/b/a MetTel in March 2008. The companies subsequently have jointly filed amendments to clarify the line acquisition incentive. The Commission is considering these changes.
