    Excelsior Jobs Program
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Commission is considering a proposed tariff filing by Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. to effectuate the Excelsior Jobs Program in compliance with a Commission Notice issued December 9, 2011 in Case 11-M-0542.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 66(12)
    Subject:
    Excelsior Jobs Program.
    Purpose:
    To establish an Excelsior Jobs Program in its electric and gas tariff schedules.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Commission is considering whether to approve, modify or reject, in whole or in part, a tariff filing by Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. to its electric and gas tariff schedules, PSC No. 10 - Electricity and PSC No. 9 - Gas, to effectuate the Excelsior Jobs Program in compliance with the Commission's Notice to File Proposed Tariff Provisions issued December 9, 2011 in Case 11-M-0542. The proposed filing has an effective date of June 1, 2012. The Commission may apply aspects of its decision here to the requirements for tariffs of other utilities.
