    Deferral of Incremental Costs Incurred in 2015 Associated With Increased Gas Leak Response and Repair Activities
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Commission is considering a petition filed by Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) to defer incremental costs incurred in 2015 associated with increased gas leak response and repair activities.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, sections 65 and 66
    Subject:
    Deferral of incremental costs incurred in 2015 associated with increased gas leak response and repair activities.
    Purpose:
    To consider a petition by Con Edison to defer certain incremental costs associated with gas leak response and repair activities.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Public Service Commission is considering the petition of Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc., pursuant to Public Service Law Section 66, to defer $35 million of incremental costs incurred in 2015 associated with increased gas leak response and repair activities. The Commission may adopt, reject or modify, in whole or in part, the relief proposed and may resolve related matters.
