Request for Recovery of Deferral Amortization by the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities

PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:

Proposed action:

The Public Service Commission is considering a petition filed by the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities seeking approval to recover a deferral amortization of maintenance costs, as approved in the commission's March 21, 2007 order in Case 06-E-1577, from the dismantling fund set aside in the commission's Sept. 29, 2005 order in Case 04-E-1485. The commission may accept, reject, or modify, in whole or in part, the recovery requested.

Statutory authority:

Public Service Law, sections 5(1)(b), 65(1), 66(1), (5), (9) and (12)

Subject:

Uniform system of accounts—request for recovery of deferral amortization.

Purpose:

To allow the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities to recover the second year of a deferral amortization.

Substance of proposed rule:

The Public Service Commission is considering a petition filed by the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities seeking approval to recover a deferral amortization of maintenance costs, as approved in the Commission's March 21, 2007 Order in Case 06-E-1577, from the dismantling fund set aside in the Commission's Sept. 29, 2005 Order in Case 04-E-1485. The Commission may accept, reject, or modify, in whole or in part, the recovery requested.
