    AMENDMENT OF RULE
    Rules Governing Judicial Conduct
    Pursuant to the authority vested in me, and upon consultation with the Administrative Board of the Courts, and with the approval of the Court of Appeals of the State of New York, I hereby amend, effective immediately, section 100.6(B) of the Rules Governing Judicial Conduct by adding a new paragraph 5 to read as follows:
    Section 100.6 Application of the rules of judicial conduct.

    (B) Part-Time Judge. A part-time judge:
    * * *
    (5) Nothing in this rule shall further limit the practice of law by the partners or associates of a part-time judge in any court to which such part-time judge is temporarily assigned to serve pursuant to section 106(2) of the Uniform Justice Court Act or Section 107 of the Uniform City Court Act in front of another judge serving in that court before whom the partners or associates are permitted to appear absent such temporary assignment.
    AMENDMENT OF RULE
    Rules of the Chief Administrator of the Courts
    Pursuant to the authority vested in me, and with the advice and consent of the Administrative Board of the Courts, I hereby promulgate, effective immediately, a new section 150.5(f) of the Rules of the Chief Administrator of the Courts, and a new section 6(C) of Appendix A to Part 150 of the Rules of the Chief Administrator of the Courts, relating to the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commissions, to read as follows:
    Section 150.5(f)
    Commencing in March 2010, the qualifications commissions of the judicial districts of the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, may find a candidate “highly qualified” for election to the judicial office, and shall notify candidates of, and publish, such findings in the same manner as otherwise set forth in this Part and Appendix A.

    Section 6(C)
