Interconnection Agreement by Citizens Telecommunications Company of New York, Inc., et al.

PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:

Proposed action:

The Public Service Commission is considering whether to approve or reject, in whole or in part, a proposal filed by Citizens Telecommunications Company of New York, Inc., Ogden Telephone Company, Frontier Telephone of Rochester, Inc., Frontier Communications of New York, Inc., Frontier Communications of Sylvan Lake, Inc., Frontier Communications of AuSable Valley, Inc., Frontier Communications of Seneca Gorham, Inc., and Cornerstone Telephone Company, LLC for approval of an interconnection agreement executed on April 26, 2007.

Statutory authority:

Public Service Law, section 94(2)

Subject:

Interconnection of networks for local exchange service and exchange access.

Purpose:

To review the terms and conditions of the negotiated agreement.

Substance of proposed rule:

Citizens Telecommunications Company of New York, Inc., Ogden Telephone Company, Frontier Telephone of Rochester, Inc., Frontier Communications of New York, Inc., Frontier Communications of Sylvan Lake, Inc., Frontier Communications of AuSable Valley, Inc., Frontier Communications of Seneca Gorham, Inc. and Cornerstone Telephone Company, LCC have reached a negotiated agreement whereby Citizens Telecommunications Company of New York, Inc., Ogden Telephone Company, Frontier Telephone of Rochester, Inc., Frontier Communications of New York, Inc., Frontier Communications of Sylvan Lake, Inc., Frontier Communications of AuSable Valley, Inc., Frontier Communications of Seneca Gorham, Inc. and Cornerstone Telephone Company, LCC will interconnect their networks at mutually agreed upon points of interconnection to provide Telephone Exchange Services and Exchange Access to their respective customers. The Agreement establishes obligations, terms and conditions under which the parties will interconnect their networks lasting until April 26, 2009, or as extended.
