PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed action:
As discussed in an order requiring development of utility-specific guidelines for electric commodity supply portfolios and instituting a phase II to address longer-term issues, issued April 19, 2007 in Case 06-M-1017, the Public Service Commission is considering the adoption of policies, practices and requirements on integrated resource planning for electric supply and the entry into long-term contracts for electric resource procurement.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 5(1)(b), 64, 65(1), 66(1), (5), (9), (10) and (12)
Subject:
Integrated resource planning for electric supply and long-term contracts for electric resource procurement.
Purpose:
To consider requirements for integrated resource planning for electric supply and long-term contracts for electric resource procurement.
Substance of proposed rule:
As discussed in an Order Requiring Development Of Utility-Specific Guidelines for Electric Commodity Supply Portfolios And Instituting A Phase II To Address Longer-Term Issues, issued April 19, 2007 in Case 06-M-1017, the Public Service Commission is considering the adoption of policies, practices and requirements on integrated resource planning for electric supply and the entry into long-term contracts for electric resource procurement. The Commission may adopt, reject or modify, in whole or in part, the relief and remedies proposed.
