PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Commission is considering a proposed filing by Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. to make various changes in the rates, charges, rules and regulations contained in its Schedules for Electric Service, P.S.C. No. 9 and P.S.C. No. 2.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, section 66(12)
Subject:
Mandatory Hourly Pricing.
Purpose:
To change the eligibility for Mandatory Hourly Pricing under Rider M and related tariff revisions.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering whether to approve, modify or reject, in whole or in part, a proposed filing by Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) to implement a reduction in the Mandatory Hourly Pricing (MHP) threshold, stated in terms of maximum demand, for customers served under demand-billed service classifications and to adopt metering charges applicable to certain customers in connection with the MHP program. The proposed filing has an effective date of August 26, 2009.
