    System Reliability
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Commission is considering a proposed tariff filing by National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation to make various changes in its rates, charges, rules and regulations contained in its Schedule for Gas, P.S.C. No. 8.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 66(12)
    Subject:
    System Reliability.
    Purpose:
    To enhance system reliability.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Commission is considering whether to approve, modify or reject, in whole or in part, a tariff filing by National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation (the Company) to: (1) modify the Company’s storage inventory balance requirements; (2) make revisions related to the acquisition and use of interstate pipeline transmission capacity; (3) revise the imbalance procedure for S.C. No. 21 – Gas for Electric Generation and (4) make housekeeping changes to streamline the Company’s tariff. The proposed filing has an effective date of August 31, 2011.
