PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Commission is considering a proposal filed by Pheasant Hill Water Corporation to increase its rates by approximately $66,325 or 126% to become effective October 1, 2016.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 4(1), 5(1)(f), 89-c(1), (3), (10)(a), (b) and (f)
Subject:
Minor water rate filing.
Purpose:
To consider an increase in Pheasant Hill Water Corporation's annual water revenues by approximately $66,325 or 126%.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering a proposal filed by Pheasant Hill Water Corporation (Pheasant Hill or the Company) to increase its total annual revenues by approximately $66,325 or 126% with an effective date of October 1, 2016. Pheasant Hill provides flat rate water service to 49 customers in the Pheasant Hill real estate subdivision in the Town of Minisink, Orange County. Public fire protection service is not provided. The Company states the rate increase is necessary due to an increase in property taxes since the current rates went into effect on October 1, 2014. The Commission may adopt, reject or modify, in whole or in part, the relief proposed and may resolve related matters.
