    Pursuant to provisions of the Abandoned Property Law and related laws, the Office of the State Comptroller receives unclaimed monies and other property deemed abandoned.     SUBJECT: Legislative Hearing to Review the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Program.
    PURPOSE: To review the Community Services Block Grant Program within the State of New York.

    The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is a federal program created by Congress for the purpose of alleviating poverty nationwide. The CSBG is administered at the Federal level by the Office of Community Services (OCS), a branch of the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). In New York State, the Secretary of State is charged by Article 6-D of the NY Executive Law with administration of the CSBG program in the state, including distribution of New York's federal CSBG allocation and monitoring of the recipients of those funds.
    This hearing will focus on the CSBG program within the State of New York as administered by the New York State Department of State, including, but not limited to, the development of the New York State Department of State's CSBG Management Plan for federal fiscal years 2011-2012. The Management Plan delineates the manner in which funds will be expended and how the State will meet the federal CSBG program requirements.

    City of Long Beach Department of Public Works
    Notice of Issuance of Request for Proposals for On-site Container Storage, Transport and Disposal of Recyclable Materials for the City of Long Beach
    Please take notice, that pursuant to, and in accordance with, Section 120-(w) (4) (e) (2)(i) of the New York State General Municipal law, the City of Long Beach will be requesting proposals from qualified firms with respect to the Disposal of Recyclable Material generated within its jurisdiction. This Request for Proposal document is on file within the Offices of the Department of Public Works and a copy of same may be obtained by contacting the Department of Public Works, City of Long Beach, Room 404, 1 West Chester Street, Long Beach, New York 11561.     Enclosed please find specifications detailing the City's needs in the area of recyclable material disposal. The City is seeking proposals for the carting and disposal of all its recyclable for a contract term of two (2) years. A bid bond will not be required.

    Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority

    Department of State F-2010-0018 Date of Issuance – June 9, 2010
    The New York State Department of State (DOS) is required by Federal regulations to provide timely public notice for the activities described below, which are subject to the consistency provisions of the Federal Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, as amended.
    The applicant has certified that the proposed activity complies with and will be conducted in a manner consistent with the approved New York State Coastal Management Program. The applicant's consistency certification and accompanying public information and data are available for inspection at the New York State Department of State offices located at One Commerce Plaza, 99 Washington Avenue in Albany, New York.
