PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Commission is considering a proposed tariff filing by Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation to make various changes in rates, charges, rules and regulations contained in its Schedule for Electric Service, PSC No. 15 — Electricity.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, section 66(12)
Subject:
Implementation of Metering Fee.
Purpose:
To implement a metering fee for customers taking service under S.C. Nos. 2, 3 and 13.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering a tariff filing by Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation (Central Hudson) to implement a metering fee for customers taking service under S.C. Nos. 2, 3, and 13 who, per existing tariff provisions, are required to provide a dedicated phone line, and whose phone line is not operational when the company attempts to read the meter. The proposed filing has an effective date of October 1, 2010. The Commission may adopt, reject, or modify, in whole or in part, Central Hudson’s proposal.
