PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
Action taken:
On June 18, 2008, the Public Service Commission adopted an order approving the petition of the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities to defer expenses related to a steam turbine major maintenance overhaul and to recover the expenses from the dismantling fund.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 5(1)(b), 65(1), 66(1), (5), (9) and (12)
Subject:
Uniform system of accounts.
Purpose:
To approve the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities to defer expenses beyond the end of the current fiscal year.
Substance of final rule:
The Commission, on June 18, 2008, adopted an order approving the petition of the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities to defer and amortize $960,742 of expenses related to a steam turbine major maintenance overhaul over a seven year period beginning December 31, 2007, and to recover the first year's amortization of $137,249 from the Dismantling Fund established in the Commission order approving the Joint Proposal in Case 04-E-1485, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the order.
