Approval of Assets

PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:

Proposed Action:

The Commission is considering whether to approve, reject, or modify a petition filed by New York American Water Company, Inc. for an Agreement of Sale for Spring Glen Lake Water Company, LLC to Acquire 100% of the Assets of Spring Glen Lake.

Statutory authority:

Public Service Law, section 89-h

Subject:

Approval of assets.

Purpose:

To approve or reject New York American Water Company, Inc's. agreement of sale.

Substance of proposed rule:

The Public Service Commission is considering whether to approve, deny, or modify, in whole or in part, a petition by New York American Water Company, Inc. (f/k/a Long Island Water Corporation) seeking authorization to purchase 100% of the assets of Spring Glen Lake Water Company, LLC. Additionally, the Commission will consider moving Spring Glen Lake customers to the Long Island District tariff rates which should result in monthly metered water bills for Spring Glen Lake customers. The Commission shall also consider all other related matters.
