PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Commission is considering a tariff filing by New York State Electric & Gas Corporation proposing revisions to the load share ratio used to calculate the ReCharge New York (RNY) load and non-RNY load for standby customers in PSC No. 120—Electricity.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, section 66(12)(b)
Subject:
Load share ratio used to calculate RNY load and non-RNY load for standby customers.
Purpose:
To make revisions to modify the load share ratio used to calculate the RNY load and the non-RNY load for standby customers.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering whether to approve, modify or reject, in whole or in part, a tariff filing by New York State Electric & Gas Corporation (the Company) to modify the load share ratio used to calculate the ReCharge New York (RNY) load and the non-RNY load for standby customers under Service Classification No. 11 – Standby Service Rate. The Company proposes to specify that for standby customers the maximum metered demand will be used in the load share ratio, which may differ from the monthly billing demand for a customer whose otherwise applicable service class is a time-of-use service.
