    Notice of Abandoned Property Received by the State Comptroller
    Pursuant to provisions of the Abandoned Property Law and related laws, the Office of the State Comptroller receives unclaimed monies and other property deemed abandoned. A list of the names and last known addresses of the entitled owners of this abandoned property is maintained by the office in accordance with Section 1401 of the Abandoned Property Law.     PUBLIC NOTICE
    Department of State Routine Program Change
    Pursuant to 15 CFR 923.84(b), the New York State Department of State (DOS) has submitted a request for a routine program change for the State's Coastal Management Program to the federal Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM). The DOS considers this action to be routine and requests OCRM's concurrence in this determination. The change to the NYS Coastal Management Program (CMP) covered by this request involves the designation of the following nine Scenic Areas of Statewide Significance (SASS) in the Town and Village of East Hampton, Suffolk County:
    • Montauk Point SASS, consisting of the easternmost tip of Long Island;
    • Lake Montauk SASS, including Lake Montauk and portions of its shoreline, Star Island, Montauk Harbor and sections of North Neck;
    • Hither Hills SASS, including most of the Montauk Peninsula from Hither Hills State Park just east of Napeague Harbor to the western outskirts of the Village of Montauk near Fort Pond;
    • Napeague SASS, including Napeague Harbor and surrounding undeveloped sand dunes, forests, beaches, tidal flats and back dunes;
    • Accabonac SASS, consisting of Accabonac Harbor and surrounding wetlands, farmlands and forests, as well as the Accabonac Cliffs area, the historic hamlet of Springs, Barnes Landing, Albert's Landing and Fresh Pond;
    • Gardiners Island SASS, including all of Gardiners Island;
    • Three Mile Harbor SASS, including Three Mile Harbor, a 900-acre salt pond separated from Block Island Sound by a barrier beach, and the wetlands system known as Sammy's Beach;
    • Northwest SASS, consisting of undeveloped forests, ponds, beaches, bluffs and saltwater estuaries on Gardiners Bay and Northwest Harbor; and
    • East Hampton Village SASS, consisting of the seaward portions of the historic centers of East Hampton Village and Amagansett.
    Policy 24 of the Coastal Management Program provides for the prevention of impairment of Scenic Areas of Statewide Significance, and is applicable to specific Scenic Areas of Statewide Significance designated by the New York State Secretary of State, such as the above-described nine areas, and subsequently incorporated into the State Coastal Management Program. Upon incorporation into the Coastal Management Program, State, federal, and local actions will be required to be undertaken, to the maximum extent practical, in a manner consistent with guidelines established to assure protection of these designated areas.
