    Consolidation of Gas Supply Areas and Changes to Capacity Release, Balancing and Other Gas Charges
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Commission is considering an August 3, 2012 filing from New York State Electric & Gas Corporation and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation proposing consolidation of gas supply areas and changes to capacity release, balancing and other gas charges.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, sections 65(1), (2), (3), 66(1), (2), (3), (5), (8), (9), (10) and (12)
    Subject:
    Consolidation of gas supply areas and changes to capacity release, balancing and other gas charges.
    Purpose:
    To consider consolidation of gas supply areas and changes to capacity release, balancing and other gas charges.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Public Service Commission is considering an August 3, 2012 filing from New York State Electric & Gas Corporation (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation proposing consolidation of gas supply areas and changes to capacity release, balancing and other gas charges, procedures and practices. The Commission may adopt, reject or modify, in whole or in part, the relief proposed.
