    DCJS GRANTEES CURRENTLY RECEIVING FEDERAL S.T.O.P VAWA FUNDS
    2011 S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program
    The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) to solicit applications for awards under the federally funded grant program entitled "S.T.O.P. (Services, Training, Officers, Prosecutors) Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)" for the purpose of developing and strengthening effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies and victim services in cases involving violent crimes against women.
    Subject to State appropriation authority, approximately $7 million is available for funding the 2011 S.T.O.P. VAWA projects. DCJS grantees currently receiving federal S.T.O.P VAWA funds are eligible to apply for awards based on the guidelines set forth in the RFA, including geographic need and the needs of underserved populations. Grant award agreements will generally be for a 12-month period with an earliest contract start date of July 1, 2011, latest contract end date of December 31, 2012, and two (2) 1-year renewal options.
    Applications received on or before 11:59 p.m. (EST), September 20, 2011 via DCJS' on-line Grants Management System (GMS) will be accepted.

    LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND NON-FOR-PROFIT AGENCIES
    Motor Vehicle Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Demonstration Program
    Subject to availability of funding, the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit applications from local government and non-for-profit agencies for the Motor Vehicle Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Demonstration Program. Approximately $3.7 million will be available. The RFP is available on the DCJS website at http://www.criminaljustice.state.ny.us/ofpa/newrfp.htm. Applications must be submitted by noon on September 16, 2011.
    The application must be submitted through the DCJS Grants Management System (GMS).
