    Competitive Transition Charges (CTC)
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Commission is considering a proposed filing by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid to make various changes in the rates, charges, rules and regulations contained in its Schedules for Electric Service, PSC Nos. 214 and 220.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 66(12)
    Subject:
    Competitive Transition Charges (CTC).
    Purpose:
    To reset CTC in retail delivery rates and adjust delivery rates to reflect deferral recoveries.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Commission is considering whether to approve, modify or reject, in whole or in part, a proposed filing by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid to (1) reset its Competitive Transition Charges in retail delivery rates to reflect changes in the forecast of commodity prices for the coming two years and (2) adjust delivery rates to reflect deferral recoveries. The proposed filing has an effective date of January 1, 2010.
