PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:

Proposed Action:

Amendment of Appendix 1 of Title 4 NYCRR.

Statutory authority:

Civil Service Law, section 6(1)

Subject:

Jurisdictional Classification.

Purpose:

To delete a position from and add a subheading and classify a position in the exempt class.

Text of proposed rule:

Amend Appendix 1 of the Rules for the Classified Service, listing positions in the exempt class, in the Department of State under the subheading “State Ethics Commission,” by decreasing the number of positions of Associate Counsel from 4 to 3; and in the Department of State by adding thereto the subheading “Commission on Public Integrity,” and the position of Manager of Training.
