    Issuance of Promissory Notes
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Commission is considering the petition of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp. to issue promissory notes up to $100 million for construction programs and for general corporate purposes and to enter into derivative instruments through December 31, 2017.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, section 69
    Subject:
    Issuance of promissory notes.
    Purpose:
    To approve the petition of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp. to issue up to $100 million in promissory notes.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Public Service Commission is considering whether to approve, deny, or modify, in whole or in part, a petition by National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation to issue promissory notes in an amount not to exceed $100 million and to enter into derivative instruments through December 31, 2017.
    The proposed action would allow National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation funding for construction programs, repay existing debt and for general corporate purposes.
