PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
Proposed Action:
The Commission is considering whether to adopt, modify, or reject, in whole or in part, a proposal by Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) to implement electric energy efficiency programs.
Statutory authority:
Public Service Law, sections 2, 5 and 66
Subject:
Con Edison's proposal to implement "fast track" electric energy efficiency programs.
Purpose:
To consider Con Edison's electric energy efficiency "fast track" filing.
Substance of proposed rule:
The Commission is considering whether to adopt, modify, or reject, in whole or in part, a proposal filed by Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. in a document entitled “Small Business Direct Installation and Residential HVAC Programs” dated August 21, 2008. The proposal is to implement electric energy efficiency programs for residential central air conditioning and small business direct installation pursuant to an order in Case 07-M-0548 entitled “Order Establishing Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard and Approving Programs” issued by the Public Service Commission on June 23, 2008.
