    Use Unspent Funds from the Low Income (EPOP) Program by Providing Bill Credits to EPOP and HEAP Customers
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following proposed rule:
    Proposed Action:
    The Public Service Commission is considering a petition from Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. requesting approval to utilize unspent funds from the low income (EPOP) program by providing bill credits to EPOP and HEAP customers.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, sections 65 and 66
    Subject:
    Use unspent funds from the low income (EPOP) program by providing bill credits to EPOP and HEAP customers.
    Purpose:
    Consideration of approval to utilize unspent funds from the low income (EPOP) program by providing bill credits.
    Substance of proposed rule:
    The Public Service Commission is considering a petition from Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. requesting approval to utilize unspent funds from the low income Enhanced Powerful Opportunity Program (EPOP) by providing bill credits to EPOP and Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) customers for the 2008/2009 winter heating season. The Commission may adopt, reject or modify, in whole or in part, the relief proposed.
