Federal Juvenile Justice Formula Title II Program
The NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit applications from eligible units of local government, state agencies, and not for profit organizations in New York State for the federal Juvenile Justice Formula Title II program. Subject to the availability of funding, approximately $ 4.3 million is available for award. Awards will be made for contracts with a 12-36 month period depending on purpose area.
Applications submitted on or before 12:00 noon, October 15, 2009, via DCJS’ on-line Grants Management System (GMS) will be accepted for consideration. Awards will support grants in the following purpose areas: 1) assessing and reducing disproportionate minority contact, 2) wise detention decision-making, 3) service collaborative planning, 4) break-through research-based strategies, and 5) third year funding for successful second year formula grantees. Contracts will be 100% supported with federal Title II Formula funds.
