    Remedying Miscalculations in Costs Between the Company's Sales and Transportation Customers
    PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE State Administrative Procedure Act, NOTICE is hereby given of the following action:
    Action taken:
    On 8/18/11, the PSC adopted an order directing New York State Electric and Gas Corporation to credit $6.03 million to gas transportation customers for credits withheld from those customers and refer those credits to the annual reconciliation proceeding.
    Statutory authority:
    Public Service Law, sections 4(1), 65 and 66(1)
    Subject:
    Remedying miscalculations in costs between the Company's sales and transportation customers.
    Purpose:
    To approve the remedy for miscalculations in costs between the Company's sales and transportation customers.
    Substance of final rule:
    The Commission, on August 18, 2011 adopted an order directing New York State Electric and Gas Corporation (NYSEG) to credit $6.03 million plus interest to gas transportation customers for credits mistakenly withheld from those customers and that the $6.03 million of extra credits that were provided to gas sales customers over the same five-year period should be referred to the 2011 Gas Adjustment Clause annual reconciliation proceeding, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the order.
